Walcot Chapel 09

A collection of small installation pieces for my second exhibition at Walcot Chapel that showed about a month after I graduated University in August 2009....The work was based on a little idea that had been bubbling away during Uni that I had to get out of my system!...Anamalia and their adornments!

I heart sketchbooks...

Heres a VERY sneaky peak inside a few of my sketchbooks...I absolutely LOVE putting them together...it has to be one of my favourite processes in producing a body of work. I find that they always manage to become works in their own right, somehow...which is lovely.

'Indigo' Design show, Paris 08

A few embroidery pieces from a collection I sent to Indigo in Paris, 2008....I was lucky enough to sell one!...although I regularly mourn the loss!

'Encased' for Walcot Chapel...08

Heres a look at one of the first installation pieces I did a couple of years ago. We had a University project that culminated in an exhibition at Walcot Chapel in Bath - a beautiful and haunting space...just perfect!

Photography...

Some photography I did for the body of work produced for my degree show...I took a particular shine to this light for its shape and the gorgeous powdery glow it had when photographed...I tried to create a similar 'illumination' in some of the pics below...

LATEX...

For my final project I explored using latex as a textile medium, producing a final installation piece for my degree show. Despite being pretty temperamental at times, its an amazingly sensory material to work with. I managed to get some great results and still have so many ideas of how I can use it, so this exploration is far from over!...Heres a peek at some of my lead up work...and the final piece!
